Executive Officer, Accounts and Operations
Mr. Sumon Howlader is an accounts, audit, taxation, and compliance professional with practical experience in financial reporting, external audit, tax documentation, regulatory compliance, internal control review, and financial institution audit engagements. He joined Sandhani Asset Management Limited as Executive Officer, Accounts and Operations, effective from 1 June 2026.
As part of the Accounts and Operations team at Sandhani AML, Mr. Howlader supports financial reporting, maintenance of accounts, operational documentation, reconciliation activities, tax and compliance-related matters, and other responsibilities assigned by management. His background in audit and financial institution engagements enables him to contribute to strengthening the organization’s financial discipline, reporting accuracy, and internal control framework.
Before joining Sandhani Asset Management Limited,
Mr. Howlader worked as an Audit Associate at M M Rahman & Co., Chartered Accountants, from February 2023 to 31 May 2026 as part of his CA (CC) period under the supervision of Mohammed Forkan Uddin, FCA, Managing Partner of M M Rahman & Co., Chartered Accountants, and Past President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh for the year 2024. During his three-year professional training period, he gained hands-on experience in external audit, accounting services, taxation, compliance, risk assessment, analytical review of internal controls, preparation of audit working papers, and audit report writing.
He was involved in audit and assurance engagements of several banks, non-bank financial institutions, insurance companies, securities firms, asset management companies, and mutual fund-related assignments, including Janata Bank PLC, AB Bank PLC, Union Insurance Company Ltd., Shanta Securities Limited, Shanta Asset Management Limited, IDLC Finance PLC, IDLC Securities Limited, IDLC Asset Management Limited, UCB Asset Management Limited, and other relevant institutions.
Mr. Howlader is a part-qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) under the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB), and an Income Tax Practitioner registered with the National Board of Revenue. He holds an MBA and a BBA in Accounting.
His professional competencies include financial statement preparation and review, audit and assurance, taxation, regulatory compliance, internal control assessment, financial analysis, risk assessment, business process review, and reporting. He is also proficient in accounting software, MS Office applications, IAS, IFRS, and financial documentation.
